He is the chairperson of Shiv Sena [4] since February 2023 and was the 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 30 June 2022 to 5 December 2024. Shinde is a qualified medical practitioner (MBBS followed by M.S. Orthopedics). He completed his M.S. from Dr. D Y Patil Medical College, Navi Mumbai.
