Sailesh Kolanu is a doctor and filmmaker who made his debut in 2020 with HIT: The First Case, a Telugu thriller. He also directed the Hindi remake of the same movie and another Telugu film, Saindhav. Sailesh was born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where his father, Seshagiri Rao Kolanu , was a production manager for Pratap Art Productions and then worked for late filmmaker, Kodi Ramakrishna. He graduated in Optometry from LV Prasad Eye Institute.
