Feb 27, 2024 ·LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party's MP from Sambhal,ShafiqurRahmanBarq, on Tuesday died during treatment at a private hospital in Moradabad following prolonged illness, the party said. Feb 27, 2024 ·Shafiqur Rahman Barq, born on July 11, 1930, began his political career with Chaudhary Charan Singh.Barq, the five-time MP has spent most of his political career along with the Samajwadi party though he has joined the Bahujan Samaj Party in between. The veteran leader has also served as the coordinator of the Babri Masjid Action Committee. Shafiqur Rahman Barq (11 July 1930 – 27 February 2024) was anIndian politician belonging to the Samajwadi Party. He was elected to the Lok Sabha at various times from Moradabad as the Samajwadi Party candidate and Sambhal, most recently in 2019.
