Summary This report used monthly data from Roy Morgan Research’s “Single Source” omnibus survey of Australians aged 14+ years to investigate the prevalence of current vaping (used e -cigarettes in the past month), current smoking (smokes factory-made cigarettes or smoked roll-your-own cigarettes in the past month), and current vaping and/or smoking (as an approximate indicator of overall nicotine usei) from February 2018 to December 2024. Vapes, mods, tank systems, e -cigs and vape pens are all forms of e -cigarettes. They are not safe, and use can lead to serious health problems. National Tobacco and E - Cigarette and Youth Vaping – Campaign Developmental Research – Report This report outlines the research we undertook to help develop our current campaigns. The new Public Health (Tobacco and Other Products) Act 2023 discourages the use of tobacco and e - cigarette products and continues the ban on oral tobacco. It sets out new tobacco product, packaging and reporting requirements and bans tobacco and e - cigarette advertising and sponsorships.
