E sharm: E -Shram is a comprehensive National Database

e -Shram is a comprehensive National Database of Unorganised Workers (NDUW) launched by the Government of India under the Ministry of Labour & Employment. Its primary purpose is to facilitate delivery of welfare benefits and social security measures to unorganised sector workers across the country. The platform aims to register and provide identity cards to unorganised workers, enabling them to access various government schemes, benefits, and services more efficiently. eSHRAM is a government initiative to create a database of workers in the unorganized sector, such as migrants, gig workers, agricultural workers, etc. It aims to provide them with social security benefits and enhance their employability. e -Shram, an initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, is a step towards building the Aadhaar Authenticated Comprehensive National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), working in the country. eShram is a portal that aims to create a centralized database of all unorganized workers in India and integrate social security schemes for them. It also provides portability of benefits, information sharing and crisis management for migrant and construction workers.
