Chennai: Renowned Tamil actor-director Manobala passed away on Wednesday after battling an illness, according to film industry sources. Various film personalities, including superstar Rajinikanth condoled his death. Manobala (69) started off his career as a director, making movies with top stars including Rajinikanth, Vijayakanth and Sathyaraj. Actor Manobala who was suffering from liver problems underwent an angio treatment earlier this year and passes away on May 3 at his home in Saligramam. Manobala (1953-2023) was a versatile and popular figure in Tamil cinema, known for his comic roles and directorial skills. He worked in over 700 films as an actor, director, and producer, and also hosted a YouTube channel and a reality show.
