Launched on May 09, 2015, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana ( PMSBY ) is an accident insurance scheme that covers accidental death, permanent disability and partial disablement. PMSBY is a government-backed accident insurance scheme in India for people aged 18 to 70 with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of ₹20 and covers death or disability due to accidents, except for some exclusions.
