Sunghoon was born in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea, and has lived in various locations including Suwon, Anyang, and Namyangju in Gyeonggi-do. He trained under BigHit Entertainment for 2 years and 1 month before debuting. He was a competitive figure skater before becoming an idol trainee, winning several national and international medals. Sunghoon is good at contemporary dance. In addition to skating, Sunghoon is great at facial expressions. Sunghoon ’s favorite color is white. Sunghoon ’s favorite season is autumn. Sunghoon ’s favorite ice cream flavor is coffee. Sunghoon listens to hip hop when he’s in a good mood. Sunghoon is from Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He was a former competitive figure skater who competed both nationally and internationally for 10 years. He passed all 8 Figure Skating Levels before retiring in early 2020.
