TurboC++is an old IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that was widely used in the late 1980s and 1990s to program inCandC++. Turbo C++is a discontinuedC++compiler and integrated development environment originally from Borland. It was designed as a home and hobbyist counterpart for BorlandC++. As the developer focused more on professional programming tools, laterTurbo C++products were made as scaled down versions of its professional compilers. TurboCis an Integrated Development Environment and compiler for theCprogramming language from Borland. First introduced in 1987, it was noted for its integrated development environment, small size, fast compile speed, comprehensive manuals and low price. In May 1990, Borland replaced TurboCwith TurboC++. In 2006, Borland reintroduced the Turbo moniker. Turbo Cwas a popular C programming tool from Borland that ran on MS-DOS and Windows. It was replaced byTurbo C++in 1990, but re-released as freeware in 2006.
